Who
can apply for United States Government grants
programs?
Currently
any U.S. citizen who is 18 years or older is
eligible to apply for government grants. Specific
programs may have other requirements as well.
How
long is it after I apply until I receive my grant
money?
Different
grant programs have different waiting periods. But
typically, you'll have grant money in your hands
within 30 to 90 days after your application is
submitted.
How
much money can I receive?
That
depends on which grants programs you apply for.
Some programs award $500.00 to $1000.00 and others
award $100,000.00 or more depending on the nature
and purpose of the grant itself. Average award
amounts for each grant program are listed in our
information package.
Will
I be required to pay back the grant money?
No,
you will not be required to pay back a grant. Our
package also lists various government loan
programs, but a grant is not the same as a loan.
Grant money does not have to be repaid.
Can
I apply for more than one government grant?
Yes,
you may apply for as many grants as you wish,
providing you meet the qualifications for each
program to which you apply. Specific
qualifications for each grant program are fully
explained in our product package.
Are
there any costs involved in the grants application
process?
In
most cases there are no costs other than for a few
photo copies and postage for delivery of your
completed application to the appropriate
governmental agency.
Can
my family members also apply for government
grants?
Yes,
any United States citizen 18 years or older is
eligible to apply for government grants programs.
We do, however, suggest that you and your family
members not apply for the same grant program.
Are
there restrictions as to how I can use the grant
money?
In
most cases the money must be used to carry out the
purpose for which the grant was awarded. But with
administrative grants such as research projects
and non-profit organizations, the government
expects you to pay yourself a reasonable salary
and meet normal expenditures. As an example,
however, you should not accept a grant to
refurbish your home and then use the money to take
a vacation.
